Ingrid Siadal, LCSW

My name is Ingrid and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Salem, OR. I have been working in a professional capacity within social services for 18 years, the last 10 as a social worker. I have served countless individuals across a wide array including adult mental health therapist, group therapist, skills trainer, case manager, in treatment foster care, grief counselor, behavioral health consultant, medical social worker, and crisis worker. My primary professional work has been with adults and adolescents.

Treatment Orientations

My approach is a client-centered & strengths-based. I see each person as a competent and capable human being with wisdom and answers.  I use mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy to help you bring awareness to your emotions and behaviors, and we work together to identify what changes you can make to bring peace to your emotional life. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Mindfulness, Hypnotherapy (certification in process), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy skills and Coaching techniques within my work.

But clinical orientation and training is only one element of the process. Research shows success in therapy is also influenced by the relationship a person has with her/his/its therapist. Thus, I bring a non-judgmental stance, a social justice mindset, empathy and humor to our work. I believe every person has the ability to make great changes in their lives and my approach is to join and walk alongside you in the journey.

What do I ask of you? I ask you to bring your willingness, your courage and your whole self to our sessions. Together we seek the solutions you hope to find! Making change to our thoughts, emotions, actions is hard. And it’s harder when you do it alone. I won’t tell you it’s easy, but I will tell you – you’re worth it.

I provide individual therapy to adults who may be experiencing:

  • Depression & mood disorders
  • Anxiety, panic and chronic worry
  • Work stress/burnout & toxic stress
  • Divorce & adjustment, relationship issues
  • Caregiver burden/burnout
  • Grief and loss
  • Adjustment to complex medical issues or conditions
  • Early stage memory loss & depression & adjustment issues
  • Self-esteem and negative self-image
  • Trauma & vicarious trauma
  • Anger
  • Social isolation
  • Binge eating issues & other unhelpful coping behaviors

I work to serve anyone without judgment to race, gender, financial status, sexual orientation, disability/ability, religion/spirituality/non-belief, urban, rural, or unhoused.
